Rock Climbing Training
This is your opportunity to learn from the only Rock Climbing Instructor in the Free State registered with the South African Mountain Development Trust, with experience in presenting rock climbing training in Natal, the Cape, and the Free State to well over 700 candidates. I offer a full range of courses designed to meet your every need in the path of learning how to rock climb. My courses cover the range of techniques and knowledge from beginners to advanced levels.
The course contents and prices are shown in the accompanying pages. The costs are always for presentation in Bloemfontein. Courses can be presented at other venues, but additional travelling (calculated according to the AA rates), food and accommodation costs will be charged. Please feel free to enquire about this. Our own rock climbing course (Beginners Course, Sport Climbing Leader’s Course, Trad Climbing Leader’s Course) each consist of a training session(s) followed by a guided climbing trip to put what has been learned into practice. Course attendees are responsible for providing their own transport to the designated venue, although this will typically be co-ordinated during the training sessions.
Please note the Instructor to student ratios for each course. In order to provide quality courses with sufficient individual attention, we have limited the course attendance on the basis of course content. The lower bracket indicates the minimum number of people required before a course can be presented (for courses not presented in Bloemfontein, this number may change – please enquire about this). However, you may enquire about presenting courses to groups larger than the upper bracket, if required. I have a network of qualified people who can assist with the course, if needed, and they will be called upon to bring the ratio back down to an acceptable figure. My guarantee to you is that the ratio will never be allowed to go above what is stated here.
Some meals are provided on some courses (see each course’s specific sheet). Alternative quotes can be provided without meals for courses which include meals, or with meals for courses which do not include meals. Please feel free to enquire about this.
Costs may change without prior notice. Please confirm costs when making a booking.
Bookings for courses will require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
