Rock Climbing Snowdonia has some of the best rock climbing routes and locations in the country and is popular with locals and visitors from all parts of the globe. Our fully qualified instructors have years of personal as well as instructional rock climbing experience to help you achieve your climbing potential, no matter what your level of competency.
Mountain Walking The Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park has some of the most beautiful and accessible mountains in the UK. Among these lies Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), the highest peak in England and Wales (1085 meters). Other great walking peaks include Y Garn, Cnicht, Moel Siabod, Tryfan, the Glyders and the entire Carneddau Range.
Navigation Navigation forms the crux of mountaineering and is an art which most people struggle to master. Having the ability to relocate yourself in the mountains in poor weather is essential to avoid natural hazards, benightment and hypothermia. On our navigation courses we take you through this troublesome subject and equip you with the skills needed to have confidence in your navigation, enabling you to enjoy the mountains even more.
Scrambling Scrambling is a great way to experience the sensation of physically climbing to the top of a mountain. The effort is greater than mountain walking and new skills such as moving over rocky ground using your hands, balance and a good head for heights will need to be acquired. It is an activity which most mountain walkers end up progressing into. Here in Snowdonia, we have some of the most fantastic ridges to be found in the UK. The classic scrambles of the area have an alpine feel to them and allow quick access to the high peaks of the National Park.
We are now also running Winter Skills Courses in Scotland and Snowdonia, as well as Ice Climbing Courses in the French Alps and Ski Mountaineering Courses in the Alps too.
