First Aid for Rock Climbing & other Outdoor Activities
It is important to understand the fact that Rock Climbing is potentially dangerous. Generally speaking, your risk of getting injured is higher when you are engaged in Rock Climbing or in any other Outdoor Activity than on your everyday life. Moreover, it is usually done in an environment where medical help may not be readily available. Thus, it is very important and necessary that you have at least some basic knowledge on First Aid - how to detect, treat, and prevent various illnesses and/or injuries. Likewise, if you have the basics of First Aid, you will know what to do when somebody is ill or injured.
