Hi,
Well it's always best to go to the experts so there's something thats been hindering my climbing. I've been climbing for about 5 months now and im doing well. The thing that's preventing me from getting better is my finger strength. A lot of problems im attempting are ones with crimping and though i can do some of them i feel this is what i need to improve to take the next level of climbing.
Other than bouldering or doing them in general what are somethings i can do at home or practice to gain better finger strength. I have been using a gyro for a while and it does work, but to a certain extent when it comes to my fingers. What did you do to build better strength in your fingers.

Finger tip strength takes time. Pushing to hard too quickly is the best way to get injuries. You said you've just been climbing for 5 months. Give it time.

I've been doing some more crimp problems and i'm going to keep that up for awhile. I will also try doing more chin ups with my fingertips as well.

Hey Joey,
Glad to have you aboard!!
Try to traverse on a wall with lots of different size holds, maybe one with really good feet and put your wieght on your feet, that way you can focus on your crimps. Have you tried locking your thumb around your index finger, never do open-hand crimps (bad for the tendons). Do this and after a while you will notice a possitive difference!
