AFTER PLACEMENT OF NUTS OR FRIENDS INTO CRAGS SOMETIMES IT PENETRATES FURTHER INTO DEEP

DURING CLIMBING DUE TO JURKS OR FALL .IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO PULL OUT THIS EQUIPMENT FROM CRAGS . HOW CAN I PULL OUT THIS EQUIPMENT FROM THE CRAGS ?

Yeah. Gear gets stuck. Especially when you fall on it. Get it out the best you can. If you climb long enough you're going to leave gear behind from time to time.

Dear SKM, this is a nice Q. Yes this thing happens tht if u fall!! it penetrates deeper into the crag. & if u've had long climb, u'll b xhausted enough & left with very less energy 2 pull it out if its stucked in it. In my opinion at this stage technical thinking works better than instead of using the physical power. So, while coming down i.e. while Rappelling stop where u've used the nut, relax a bit & try to follow the crack backwards & try slipping out type out the nut. Do this by pulling the nut forwards & backwards slightly & at the same time upwards. I guess this is the only way by which u can save ur nut & can avoid leaving it there. Because whenever I've used nuts in the cracks, this is the only method by which I've always saved my nuts. If there's any other method, I would also like to know. So positive comments are always welcomed. Best Regards, Jawad Yasin

BUT THE QUESTION IS CLIMBER CARRIES LIMITED NUMBER OF EQUIPMENTS ACCORDING TO THE CONDITION AND LENGTH OF THE PITCH .SO LOSS OF ONE VALUABLE EQUIPMENT MAY CREATE
DANGER OR RETREAT FROM THE PARTICULAR CLIMBING.IT IS THE BEAUTY OF THIS GAME THAT HOW TO USE THE LIMITED RESOURCES USING THE POWER OF MIND & BRAIN FOR SUCCESS.EQUIPMENT AND PHYSICAL STRENGTH IS VERY MUCH LIMITED TO A CLIMBER .SO IT IS NOT SO EASY TO LEAVE ONE EQUIPMENT AND PROCEED.

If you don't have a nut tool, buy one. These are great for helping to retrieve stuck gear and have helped me out tremendously on more than one occasion.
