I''d like to know how often everyone climbs. I had an overuse injury a few months ago, pt took care of it. I want to make sure I don''t do it again. I climb twice a week now, usually for about 3 hours. Ready to amp it up a bit, I''d like to add another day but....

This really depends on the type of climbing you are doing. I climb about 250 days a year not including gym days. Some on ice, some in cracks, some on slab, some on boulders, some in the alpine. I think that the key here is to mix it up; kind of like cross training. If you are climbing inside a lot this could be your problem. Many injuries happen from climbing on plastic. Good way to get strong though!

Cheers,

I climb 3-4 days every week 2-3 hours in the gym and 6-8 hours outdoors. For starters, if I were you adding another day then I woul back down the intensity to say 2hrs each day for 2-3 weeks and then add that 3rd hour back in.
Also, as stated, mixing it up will help a lot. Top-rope a lot of easy routes one day, boulder one day, lead climb one day, climb a lot of routes at your limit one day, etc. This will work your muscles differently.
Most importantly, listen to your body. If something is aching then there is a reason so back off or take a few days off. The last thing you want to do is be sidelined and out for weeks/months due to an injury.

Try to vary the type of climbing you do. I now spend less time on hard boulder problems and more time on long overhanging routes with big holds.
