That picture is of the falls, it is actually water with the sun reflecting off of it that makes it look like lava.
Oh, and yes, there is excellent climbing at Yosemite.

Yosemite is definitely an amazing place to camp, climb or hike. I've been their once and i plan to visit more once i've become more of an expert climber and well have enough money, because its on the other side of the U.S for me.
