I still try to support local retailers, especially REI and my gym first and then go online second.

i have an interview wednesday at my local outdoor store decathlon. hopefully it will be discount gear coming my way!

thanks, i hope it also gives me a chance to meet new climbers in my area too. i dont know too many so it will open up a window.

im glad i had your support guys cause i got the job!
i will now be selling climbing gear for a living and i get opportunities to test out the new gear that comes in on free trips courtesy of the company

the postage would sure kill you. however decathlon have around 4 stores in the U.S. and i was wandering if you know any of them?

According to the http://www.decathlon-usa.com/ site US operations were shutdown in 2006. All 4 of the stores used to be in Massachusetts.
