Official title is "Windows Client Administrator" ...

I work for a company that sells hunting/fishing licenses for about 17 different states, and also does some other transaction processing such as background checks, etc.

I handle all of our PCs, laptops, printers, and related equipment for 3 different locations.

I also do some of our server support and later this year will probably transition 100% into server support and they will hire someone to take my place handling the client side of our network.

I am in the airport conveyor buisness. I travel to different airports to install and design conveyor systems. Sometimes I end up in some cool places, and other times not so much. I have worked in four different states this year alone.
I do get to look forward to one job in Oregon and another in Alaska.

on most (nearly all in fact) weekends that i'm not climbing (which, as it turns out, is a lot right now) i work as a large animal veterinary technician [basically a nurse for horses, cows, goats, llamas, and other large animal patients in the hospital]
i also work as a small animal research assistant for the dept of clinical sciences [it's a long and tedious job description with a lot of on-call time, so i'll just leave it at that]
the rest of the time i'm a student, as an aspiring veterinarian. i should be done with all the school by the time i'm 50 and work 'til retirement to pay it off.

Mike,
I used to be Network Admin too, Windows NT4.0.
Now I manage quality for an express courier company, if the performance indices go low, you know who they'll be looking for.
regards

My job has had me in 11 different states in the past 7 days. I've had enough.

WOW! I'm all about doing some traveling, but that is nuts!

What fun is all that travel if you can't even slow down long enough to enjoy where you're at for a few minutes?

I agree, that is enough. :)

I used to be on the road all over the U.S. for 10 days straight with 4 days off, 14-16 hours a day for 4 years with a billboard sign crew until I was knocked off a sign and crushed my right heel. Now I hobble around and just teach climbing. Kinda glad to be off the road, it gets old seeing those four walls day in and day out.

No joke Brad, I have been home for three weeks now and do not want to go back out. The only good thing is that I will be in Or. next and will get to pull on some west coast rock.

You could put your skills with rope to use and go swat or special opps.
Anyway, sounds like everything is working out great for you.

Sounds like an interesting job Chilli, I was raised on a farm and alot of things we did ourselves, I got to pull alot of calves, give shots, and other assorted things.
