hello my name is mark is there anybody here from liverpool in the united kingdom is there anybody here from the uk or from near yosmite as i wanted some information on climbing in yosmite

hi mark!
welcome to the forum. im not from liverpool but im near birmingham in the u.k. and i think im the only u.k. member (asside from you now) theres a thread about yosemite somewhere, cant remember where though just dig it up its not too hard. any questions, lemme know!

hello well glad to see that some one is here from the uk i found this site totaly by accident but there you go i do use the ukc site i have been climbing on and off for about 16 years i am 34 know good looking for 34 looking at my picture know
i got a freind that lives not to far from there and hes into local amature radio which for short is ham radio and we were talking the other night and he said somthing about having to get a permit to climb near yosmite i dont know how true that is well i done a few climbs myself around in the north west one being angles ark quarry i have also done one on the great orme and one at frogs mouth near me i have done a few indoor walls as well stockport awsome walls if you ever around this area worth a visit as there are lots of fun climbs most of them lead climbs but fun to do anyway hope to hear from you soon

Likewise, I've never climbed at Yosemite (yet) and can't confirm 100% that a permit is required, it is common at most parks that offer rock climbing to require a permit.
This is so the park knows how many people are on the rocks, where you're climbing, and how long you intend to be back out.
That way when you don't come back out on time they know where to go looking for you.

i have heard from friends that stockport has a good wall i must check it out someday, ill let you know when and we must climb together!
