I think one of my favorite crack climbs in Alabama is at Griffin Falls near sand rock. Its a nice, clean, finger/hand crack thats about 80 ft. The thing I like about it is, it makes you use the crack for your feet, for the first 20 ft. or so, then it gets easy nearthe top.
The owner ask: If you go there and climb, make sure you put a sign in the window saying simply: Climbing!
This is to root out the rif-raf.

Where is this place?
Oh, and I found one spot online doing a search for Fort Bluff that says it has been completely closed to climbing? Is it still open?

Griffin Falls is at the Collinsville exit off of I-59, go the oppisite direction from Collinsville and when you see the last dirt road on left before you go up the mountain, take it and go till you see a pull off on the right and park, the trail go's up from there. If you have a dixie craggers atlas it gives better directions than me.

Awesome ... Both the TN and AL/GA versions of the Dixie Cragger's are on my list to pick up after we get back from our trip this weekend. I'll check it out!
