I quit climbing for a while (5 years), but a year before quitting, I bought a 10mm 60m sterling dynamic rope. Looks like new, has no cuts, about 10 flights (I dont know what you call in english when you fall righ before you clip the next extention). I dont know if the rope is good still for climbing, because the materials get old even if not in use... what should I do? I don't want to trash it.

Any type of nylon based product should not be used after 5 yrs. I wish I could give you all the chemical break downs but I can say ditch it and get a new rope.
