Hi and welcome to the site. I don't know offhand if there are any LA climbers here but good luck with the search. If you check your local climbing gyms it is a great way to meet local climbers as well.

Thanks for the advice. Iv never been 2 a climbing gym, but they sound like fun. Ill definately hit one up soon

Rock gyms don't compare to real rock if you like climbing outdoors; However, they do offer the opportunity to train when it is cold, raining, etc and you can't get outdoors.
They also offer an excellent spot to network with other climbers. My first outdoor trips were by people I met in my local gym that were willing to take me out and "show me the ropes".
Good luck and if you get the chance to run up and climb with Heath go for it! He's a great guy and will show you an excellent time I'm sure.

hey, thats a really good idea. Im starting school now but ill keep it in mind heading up to southern oregon. long drive, def something id have 2 plan.

Go to J -tree you could always find friends there. Lots of bouldering and a really good scene.
