This is a traversing technique. Most gyms have routes close enough that you can traverse from one end to the other. This can also be done outside.
Start off the ground. Look towards a hand hold. The first hold you see use it. Next move is for your foot. Your goal is to train your brain to see holds quickly that are within your abilities. It takes a bit of getting used to not searching for the next hold. Try not to use the same hold for the other hand/foot.
Give this a try as a warm-up.

i like that. one of my major pitfalls is thinking too long about the BEST way to get through something, when i'm really just wearing myself out thinking about it. i'll be putting this one to use in the gym a bit. thanks for the contribution.
