Using leg strength for climbing

Hi all,
I have just started training for rock climbing..... put problem i am facing is " I am pulling my self using hand strength rather then hips." In practice i am trying hard to transfer weight on legs but not having the result... is there any workout that can be done ? or only with time it will correct ?
any help is gr8ly appreciated

time and practice with technique and form certainly provide a decent combinatorial solution.

however, if you want to expedite the process i would definitely suggest reading "The Self-coached Climber"

Make your legs and hips more active.You have to activate your entire system.Do not go for short shrift methods.Try Dhanurasana(bow pose),and Sarvanga asana(shoulder stand).Walk briskly,or jog.Most impotant,breath deeply,and rythemically.That will cleanse your entire system,and will increase awareness of each part of the body.
