the ranking is kind of silly really. it corresponds to the "points." the only thing that it means is how many posts you've made. "belay test passer" is up to something like 25-30 posts; "gumby" is up to something like 50 posts; "technical climber" is above that.

"super member" is something different than ranking though. the way i understand it, the only people who are super members are people who are guides or climb professionally (meaning they get money for it) or something like that. my understanding is that the moderators have to decide that you can hold the role of a "super member." brad knows some more specifics in that regard, because he's the only "super member" i know of around here.
