Rock Climbing in Argentina | Climate and Holidays

Argentina is the 8th biggest country in the world, embracing approximately the total half of South America. It goes up from the Atlantic to the Chilean border and all the way through the soaring Andes peaks. Argentina also holds some of the world’s exciting waterfalls, open deserts, and highest mountains. Another characteristic belonging in this country is the diversity of land. From the north, there is Buenos Aires as its busy capital. Down south, the untamed and secluded areas of Patagonia can be found.
Argentina Climate. The country experiences four types of climates: warm, cold, moderate, and arid. Extremely warm, damp summers, and gentle arid winters are being experienced in the north, while there are unpleasantly cold winters and scorching summers with thunderstorms in Central Argentina. Along south, they have temperate summers and wintry season with serious snowfall, particularly in higher altitudes and some mountain regions.
Argentina Holidays. On your next vacation, challenge yourself to ascend on the exciting mountains of
Argentina, as it is a most-wanted target for serious climbers, particularly those who aim to triumph Aconcagua - one of the highest summits in the world. Mid November to mid march is the official climbing season. However, only well-resourced groups who are in great body conditions and with professional guides are allowed to scale it. But do not despair; here are other interesting spots worth visiting:
- Tandil. Heights that are up to five hundred meters can be found in Tandil. It is situated in the vicinity of Humid Pampa, a landscape fashioned by very old forests, streams, valleys, and mountain ranges. Indeed, it is an idyllic site for quest travellers who are not only into climbing, but also hiking. Tandil is a great substitute for your ordinary city life as it is a mixture of metropolitan ambience and an outdoor adventure!
- Salta. This one is in Lerma Valley and is entirely appropriate for the practice of mountaineering all-year round. It presents a great number of heights that are over five thousand to six thousand metres. Aside from summits, flowing rivers, infinite pampas, mountain ranges, and the deep blue waters of Atlantic Ocean are all present too. Clearly, a visit in Salta is a total package if you want to be one with nature!
