Adirondack Mountaineering Festival on Jan. 13-15

The Adirondack International Mountaineering Festival is now back for its tenth year, thanks to The Mountaineer and Adirondack International Mountaineering Festival. The festival will be held on January 13-15, the Martin Luther weekend.

The festival is a non-profit event that will benefit local charities. In this event, prominent mountaineers will hold clinics on different important aspects of climbing. Participants will also be able to try out new climbing gear on an ice wall which is specially constructed for the event. Moreover, a spaghetti feed will be readied for the participants at the Keene Valley Fire Department that will be followed by a slideshow.

The event’s major sponsors are Patagonia and Marmot. In addition, the festival is also sponsored by Koflach, Petzl, Black Diamond, Outdoor Research, Cloudveil, Patagonia, Vasque, Grivel, La Sportiva, Mammutt, and Trango.
