Rock Climbing and Backpacking Course in Spring

Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus will be offering and introductory course on backpacking and rock climbing this spring.
Introduction Backpacking and Rock Climbing 101 is a non-credit will be offered to novice students. In the backpacking course, everything about the subject will be covered including the equipment and the skills needed for two-to five-day trips in the outdoors. A part of the course will be conducted outside on the grounds of the North Campus. The classes will be held every Tuesday of April 9 to May 9, 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
Meanwhile, the rock climbing course will give students an introduction to the basic components and safety measures involved in the sport. The Rock Climbing 101 course, which will be taught by rock climbing specialist Ben Nevin, will be held on Mondays of April 3 to May 15, 6 to 7:30 pm.
Each course costs $49 and students are required to pre-register at least a week before the start of the classes.
