Rock climbers group raises $250,000 to buy Laurel

Carolina Climbers Association purchased Laurel Knob for thousands of dollars and opened it to the public.
After a few months of building the trails, the huge chunk of granite rock face that stands 1,200 feet high on 47 acres in the Lonesome Valley area of Cashiers is now open not just for climbers but for those who are after fun and adventure.
CCC was able to raise money in seven months with the help of the people's donations from different states and even from other countries and continent.
