Go for the Gold for Sean McColl

Sean McColl brought home gold in the recently concluded Youth World Championships Junior Division held last weekend in Imst, Austria.

Winning both in lead climbing and speed, this 19 year old from Vancouver also won at the Youth World Championships in 2002, 2003 and 2004. He has finished as high 11th in the Adult World Cup.

Taking home a silver medal as well in the same category is 15 year old Tiffany Hensley. She is the first North American to ever win an event at the World Championships.

The World Youth Championship is organized by the Oesterreichischer Alpenverein (OeAV) together with UIAA Climbing in accordance with the UIAA Climbing general and lead regulations.
