International Petzl Rock Trip Fest

The Greek Island of Kalymnos is once again welcoming the International Petzl Rock Trip Fest from October 25 to 30, 2006. Known as a climbing paradise, Kalymnos has nearly 1000 routes of perfect limestone featuring stalactites, colonettes, vertical slabs, roofs and fantastic caves.

Kalymnos is now considered as one of the must-visit climbing destinations because of its dedication to sport climbing and its 30 developed areas which features beautiful, well-bolted, moderate routes.

The said event will be organized by the Kalymnos Tourism Office.

Over 500 people from 18 countries came in the event held last 2004. This year, participants can expect more climbing! There are ultimate routes developed for pro men and women, a Flash Contest which is open to everyone, films, slideshows, and parties and of course, a whole lot of climbing.

Kalymnos is a Greek island located in the south-eastern Aegean Sea.
