Known Mountaineer Missing Since Last Month

A Known top alpinist and mountaineer who have made a name for herself disappeared last month in China's Sichuan Province. The thirty-nine year old Christine Boskoff from Seattle is one of the few women alive to have climbed six of the world's 14 highest peaks and was the first North American woman to summit the 27,940 foot Lhotse in the Himalayas. She also had summited Mount Everest twice.
Boskoff and her friend Charlie Fowler who is an elite climber was missing since last month. Friends believed that the two had tried one more climbed after ascending a previously unclimbed route on the sixth highest peak in the world which is the China's Cho Oyu. Elite climber Jon Otto is going to China to head the ground search team to locate the two missing climbers.
Regarded as one of the world's leading female climbers and successful guides, Boskoff with her late husband purchased Mountain Madness, a climbing school and guide service which was started by Scott Fischer.
