A 30-feet tall and 18-feet in diameter new indoor wall were erected in Southern Utah. It has a variety of easy and challenging routes which also includes a crack and enough rings to allow eight climbers to
cling to the wall at the same time.
Southern Utah University climbing wall has an area to rappel ang top belay. Rob Myers, SUU's outdoor recreation director says "It's not just a climbing wall in my mind. Educationally we want to be able to do everything that we can." The outdoor recreation center staff is scheduled to start teaching various workshops on Monday which will give future rockers the knowledge to belay, boulder, top belay, lead climb and more.
Routes will range from 5.5 - the easiest to 5.12 which is a couple notches away from the toughest climb. For the novices, the staff is there to encourage and help each climber find a route up the wall. Besides the bouldering, workshops, open climbing and group climbing, the outdoor recr center is advertising Thursday night as women’s night.

The sixth stage of the Bouldering World Cup 2007 was concluded last weekend.
During the said competition, the twenty year old Russian, Dmitry Sharafutdinov, together with the 22 year old Slov enian Natalija Gros, emerged as the grand prize winners of this level of the Bouldering World Cup 2007- Fiera di Primiero in Italy.
The event served as Sharafutdinov's "first ever stage" of the Bouldering World Cup, while it became Gros' second consecutive victory. Other winners from the Italian team included Gabriele Moroni who placed second; and the rest of the team, Christian Core, Stefano Ghidini and Jenny Lavarda; who got the seventh and ninth places respectively.
Participants of the Bouldering World Cup are now up for a break as the event will resume its penultimate stage only on September 17 at Aviles.

Jack Geldard made his significant first access in North Wales last Sunday, June 24.
After his new route in Cwm Idwal "Spinal Crack', Jack Geldard insisted on adding another first on his remarka ble list of first ascents and repeats on mounts all around UK, despite receiving negative weather reports.
After head pointing the route last Saturday, Jack Geldard made his first climb on Drury's Drama Buttress, 150 meters away from Dinas Cromlech, between driving rains, last Sunday. He named his new route as "Rocky". According to reports, the route served as Geldard's tribute to Rocky Marciano, his favorite legendary boxer who was portrayed by Sylvester Stallone in several movies such as "Rocky" and "Cliffhanger."
