Russian Climber Wins Gold in World Championship

Ksenia Polekhina, a Krasnoyarsk climber, has won the gold in the world championship held in Ecuador.
Yena Chereshnova, who represented Moscow, won silver. Lyubov Shagina and Ksenia Polekhina, regional rock climbing school representatives, also attended in the world championship. Polekhina finished eight in the competition for girls aged 13-17, while Shagina placed sixteenth.
Over-all, Russia won four gold, five silver, and one bronze folder during the world championship.
