Rock Climbing Discount Fee for Schoolchildren |

A new wall for rock climbing had its debut last Saturday at the Norpoint Centre in Northeast Tacoma. The wall is dedicated to Mike Stone by his family.
Last year, Stone's family met with Metro Parks staff to discuss about a memorial gift to Stone who is an avid rock climber. Stone's family and the Metro Parks staff planned something that would be meaningful, as well as beneficial.

China Hosts Asian Rock Climbing Tournament |

China – Tianmenshan National Park in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province will be hosting the third Asian Rock Climbing Tournament on November 5 and 6.

90-year-old Celebrates by Climbing Wall |

John Rusen celebrated his 90th birthday by scaling the climbing wall at San Juan College's Health and Human Performance Center.
His climb took a few minutes only. When he reached the top of the wall, his well-wishers sang "Happy Birthday." "You don't get too old from climbing, you get old from not climbing," Rusen said.

Climbing Walls May Be in Store for Lynchburg |

Climbing walls may be in store for Lynchburg residents.
Entrepreneur Dan Hague plans to build climbing walls in a vacant warehouse owned by an electrical supply company. The warehouse is located on Church Street. Hague plans to construct climbing walls that stand as high as 40 feet. However, the building is only 22 feet tall.
The back roof will be renovated to accommodate the climbing walls.
