Tracey, Barrans Win at Ford SkyMasters Challenge
WEDNESDAY, 26 MARCH 2008
Michaela Tracey and Dave Barrans dominated the Ford SkyMasters Challenge held at the Ordnance Survey Outdoors Show in the National Exhibition Centre (NEC).
Routes in the competition include 100 moves and a number of hanging objects. One example is the Kalymnos section of stalactites, which is named after Greece's tufa-ridden paradise climbing spot.
Mike Weeks of X1sports.com said the concept was the result of the Outdoors Show and Entre-Prises' goal to excite the audience and then the climbers.
Expressing his satisfaction and fun over the route, men's winner and British Bouldering Team member Dave Barrans said he'd consider doing the same again.
