THURSDAY, 10 JULY 2008
Submitted By: Diane Vee Hormillada
In a meeting last July 7, the Statesville City Council in North Carolina had finalized the plans for the indoor rock climbing walls to be installed in the city's new recreation complex.
Four members of the Council's Quality of Life Committee, Mayor Costi Kutteh, City Manager Rob Hites, and Parks and Recreation Director John Bullard were present in the meeting.
The committee agreed to install 10-foot bouldering walls in gray on both sides of the 23-foot climbing wall. The bouldering walls will cost around $115,000 to $120,000. The committee also agreed to use rubber for the splash pad or climbing walls for the children.
