Hanson Wins Bronze Medal at Extremity Games

Davison Township, Michigan's very own McKayla Hanson bagged the bronze medal in the rock climbing category of the recently concluded Extremity Games. This event is a national X-games style competition held for climbers with missing limbs.

Hanson and four other climbers went head to head last Friday, July 25, at the Planet Rock in Pontiac for the final stage of the rock climbing competition. The finalists were not allowed to see how the others performed during their three climbs.

Hanson managed to get the bronze medal as well as the $250 cash prize which she will be using to purchase rock climbing supplies.
