Vertical Adventures Anchoring and Climbing Course

As the next round after the Rockscraft Seminar, Vertical Adventures Rock Climbing School will be offering an Anchoring and Climbing course on September 29-30 for experienced climbers who want to learn "trad" or traditional climbing techniques.

Each day is a balance of time spent working with equipment and on the rock improving climbing techniques. Participants will get "hands-on" practice assembling and rigging a variety of anchor systems with critique from experienced guides.

The course includes: lecture on equipment characteristics and specifications, detailed placement criteria and assessment for nuts and camming devices, top-rope anchoring principals and equalization methods using slings and cordellettes, and use of extension ropes for rigging top-rope anchors.

The same course will also be offered on the following dates: October 13-14, 18-19; November 10-11, 22-23, 24-25; and December 1-2, 6-7, 15-16, 27-28, 29-30.

Registration fee costs $245. Each day can also be taken separately for $125/day.
