Wednesday, 29 October 2008The IX Festival de Boulder is a two-day bouldering event held on natural rock. It will be organized by Club Andino Mar del Plata on November 8-9.
Now on it’s 9th edition, this event is most important climbing event in Argentina held at the coastal boulders near Mar del Plata, several hours south of Buenos Aires.
Club Andino Mar del Plata or C.A.M.P. is a non-profit organiza tion dedicated to the support of mountain activities such as climbing, mountaineering, and trekking in and around Argentina.

Tuesday, 28 October 2008Outdoor Adventures Management is organizing a Basic Rock Climbing and Rappelling course. This course consists of basic rock climbing lessons, rappelling, introduction to basic knots, climbing drills, different holds and bouldering.
List of sessions:
Session1: Introduction to (RC + equips. + Knots + basic RC).
Session2: Climbing techniques. + Basic RC.
Session3: Advance RC.
Session4: Rappelling.
Registration fee costs Rs. 150 per session, including equipment. Meeting point is at Main gate of Borivali National Park (Sanjay Gandhi Rashtriya Udyan). Session starts at 07.00 AM.

Friday, 24 October 2008Edgeworks is proud to present this year’s Blacklight Bouldering Competition and Climb on October 25, from 5PM-8PM. Registration starts at 3PM. This event is open for all ages and features blacklights, glow-in-the-dark climbing and body painting. Prizes will also be given away to winners!
Registration fee costs $35 if registered by October 16 and $40 if registered after October 16. All registration received by the 16th will receive a competition t-shirt!

Thursday, 23 October 2008Planet Rock is offering special rock climbing classes for kids ages 3 to 6 dubbed as "ABC for Kids," which stands for "Agility, Balance & Coordination."
It is a program focused on developing agility, balance, and coordination. Our specially designed elements encourage physical and mental growth through movement and exploration.
The course aims to incorporate climbing skill s and safety with yoga, gymnastics and educational games; teach kids to navigate a hanging obstacle course that changes from week to week; and challenge them with irresistible activities that encourage independence and build confidence.

Wednesday, 22 October 2008A special event for St. Jude Research Hospital will be held on Saturday, October 25th from 10:00 am –12 noon and 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm. at the New Jersey Rock Gym. The event will raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH), the premier center for the research and treatment of childhood cancer and other deadly diseases.
"St. Jude is the leader in the fight against catastr ophic childhood diseases such as leukemia, brain tumors and sickle cell disease," said Barbara Lawrence, coordinator of the event. "Through events like this one, the New Jersey Rock Gym will be supporting the St. Jude mission of finding cures and saving children from across the country and around the world."
This event will feature an open house, where participants can learn about the world's fasting growing sport, Indoor Rock Climbing. They will experience how indoor rock climbing promotes coordination, balance, muscle development, and self-confidence. New Jersey Rock Gym will be raising funds by offering 2 climbs for $10.00 where the gym staff will be operating the ropes for participants. Come out and have fun learning about our programs for children and adults while supporting St. Jude.
