Cliffhanger at Sheffield's Millhouse Park

On the 11th and 12th of July, Sheffield's Millhouse park will once again become the home for the Cliffhanger outdoor event.

The highlight of Cliffhanger for all climbers will be the British Bouldering Championships. The Climbing Works will be cheering on two of our lovely receptionists Leah Crane and Mina Leslie – Wujastyk and also Dave Mason one of our top coaches, for the title of British Bouldering Champion 2009. Finals will be taking place on the Sunday afternoon.

If watching the best British climbers battle it out for a place in the finals inspires you to improve your own climbing then The Climbing Works, along with 5:10 athletes Steve McClure and Gaz Parry will be providing free coaching sessions on our purpose built wall.

Sessions will last for 1 hour and climbing shoes will be provided by 5:10, so don't worry if you forget your shoes. Booking for a session will take place on the day.

There are of course many other events and outdoor sports that will be happening at Cliffhanger, from scuba diving and snowboarding to orienteering and caving with free taster sessions, displays and gear sales.
