Reel Rock Film Tour Comes to Chapel Hill NC

Apex NC - Raleigh North Carolina-based Ascent Adventure Consultants and Triangle Rock Club are the hosts of the 2009 Reel Rock Film Tour taking place in Chapel Hill NC on October 24, 2009 at 6:00PM. The cost of entry is $15. The Reel Rock Film Tour "delivers the year's most exciting climbing and adventure films to audiences to over 100 cities around the world. Reel Rock shows are festive events where climbers and outdoors lovers gather to celebrate their passion for adventure. Gear giveaways, appearances by top climbers, and fund raising for non profit organizations all add to the fun and community of Reel Rock Events (www.reelrockfilmtour.com)."

Festivities include the premier of Progression, a climbing film focusing on the greatest climbers and the way they continue to advance the sport of climbing, the preview of First Ascents, a National Geographic Channel and Sender Films series on climbers conquering unclimbed peaks all across the world, as well as the showing of the 2009 Reel Rock Film Competition winner. Local and National sponsors will contribute gear and prizes for a raffle benefiting the American Alpine Club. Food will be provided by local restaurants, including Carolina Brewery in Chapel Hill NC.
