TCA Youth Bouldering Squad

The Climbing Academy is regarded as one of the most modern training facilities in the UK and as such, they want to expand this reputation of excellence into youth bouldering squad. With main sponsor Ellis Brighamm, their aim is to establish an elite training programme that will allow young climbers to maximise their potential and for TCA to become nationally recognised as a first class provider of youth coaching in the UK.

Any young person between the ages of 10 and 16 years old can try out for the squad, which will include both a junior and senior Team. Squad members will receive a structured yet dynamic training programme that will develop, amongst many others things, physical and mental strength, stamina and technique, and will look at issues such as injury avoidance, problem reading, and the pressures faced in competition. As well as in-house coaching, the squad will receive regular training sessions with some of the UK's most respected climbers and coaches.

Squad tryout sessions will run on Sunday, 8th Nov 11.30am to 12.30pm.
