Dave MacLeod and Jonny Stocking will have a TISO-Ratho Lecture on February 4, 2010. All profits from this lecture will go to the MCofS for the promotion of youth climbing in Scotland.

Dave MacLeod - 'How Soon is Now'
Having climbed the world's hardest and riskiest trad routes for several years, Dave MacLeod asks himself why the desire to keep taking risks and looking for harder rock climbs to attempt keeps getting stronger. Dave will try to show us why he loves the very delayed gratification of impossible seeming climbs so much, why getting to the top is one of the least important parts of the picture and show us some E11 climbing, on pitch 18 of his current project.

Jonny Stocking - 'Competition Climber to My First Alpine Route'
At 16, Jonny is a key member of the BMC Junior Team and current Lead Climbing Champion. He hails from Ayrshire and as a MCofS supported climber through the Climbing Bursary he took on the mighty Brandler Hasse route in summer 2009, one of Europe's most sought after routes, 23 pitches to E5. Would this be his biggest challenge to date?
