On Saturday, August 21, Belgian climber Chloé Graftiaux died after falling from the South Face of Aiguille Noire de Peuterey in the Mont Blanc massif. Graftiaux, 23—who was well-known in the world competition circuit as a bouldering and sport climbing champion—was descending from the summit and was swept away by rock fall.
