New climbers engaging in this adventurous sport must learn how to safely spot a boulder climber and manage the ropes for a top rope climber in a safe/efficient manner. Failure of climbers to properly spot and/or manage the ropes can result in personal injury. The "Safety/Belay Lesson" teaches the proper skills for a safer experience.
