Medicine Bow Peak
Medicine Bow Peak is the highest peak in the Snowy Range in central southern Wyoming. The summit offers views through Wyoming as well as several mountain ranges of Colorado and Rocky Mountain National Park.
Approach into the Snowy Range is comparatively short and a roundtrip summit of Medicine Bow Peak can be completed in a couple of hours. The easiest route is a moderate to difficult hike for the average weekend hiker.
How to Get There
Take Hwy 130, to the turnoff (on the north side of the road) into the Sugarloaf Recreation Area. This point is 0.5 mile east of the Snowy Range Pass and 6 miles west of Centennial.
