Product Features
The best-selling climbing shoe on the market, the Five Ten Spire Climbing Shoe is ideal for entry-level climbers seeking a well-constructed, comfortable, general-purpose shoe that will support feet-in-training. New climbers typically need a shoe that is comfortable and gives their weaker feet extra support. The Spire features a rounded toe profile for all-day comfort. The semi-flexed, slip-lasted design offers all-around performance. Five Ten's innovative Stealth® C4 sole will assure you'll stick to the slickest of rock. Keep in mind that leather climbing shoes tend to stretch and you may want to purchase them a half size smaller than your normal shoe size. Most of the stretch will be in the width, although they will stretch a little in length.
Bottom Line: This isn't the best selling climbing shoe for nothing. The Spire is an incredible value for beginning climbers needing a shoe that does it all.

I bought these shoes as my first pair of climbing shoes 3 months ago. I really like them, they are comfortable, fairly inexpensive and provide good grip in most situations. They are quite stiff and support my feet well. The support is nice becouse my feet are not as strong yet. All in all they make a great beginner shoe, lots of my climbing friends have them.
